Responsibilities

 

Position Overview

This position is responsible for providing detailed electrical engineering solutions through design, analysis, testing, and implementation. This position is best suited for individuals who are interested in advancing their career by working with and learning from Senior Engineers. This position will increase in responsibility over time and is well suited for candidates who are interested in and capable of growing into a Senior Engineer level position. This position reports to the Director of hardware engineering.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • As an Electrical Engineer in the design group, you will be part of a cross functional team to bring new products from concept through completion.  
  • Design, prototype, evaluate, and document new electronic systems.
  • Develop test specifications product verification. 
  • Interface with test engineering and manufacturing engineering to verify compliance of product to requirements. 
  • Conduct design reviews and participate or lead DFMEA and Worst Case Analysis reviews.
  • Testing and modifying new designs

     

     

Qualifications

Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attitudes

  • This position requires demonstrated knowledge in analog, digital, and power electronics, including EMI/EMC compliance, power handling on PC boards, and isolation.
  • Familiarity with power semiconductors, microprocessors, DC-DC power supplies, and communication circuits is required. 
  • Experience with battery and power management is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with general firmware design is highly desirable. 
  • Experience in taking products from concept to production is desired. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
  • Hands on experience in the lab required

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required. 
  • 5+ years direct exposure in related fields of analog, power and digital circuit design.
