Position Overview

The Sr. Contracts Manager will be a key member of the Grid Integration team, reporting to the VP, Grid Integration and Services, with dotted-line reporting to the General Counsel. The successful candidate will work closely with various business groups, most notably Grid Integration, Legal and Supply Chain and will be directly involved in negotiating and managing critical subcontracts.


  • Assist in preparation of requests for information, requests for proposals and requests for quotation (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs), conduct bidder's conferences
  • Write award summaries and procurement plan
  • Support post-award procurement and subcontracting activities: reviewing and negotiating EPC subcontract arrangements, O&M and other project specific subcontracts including drafting technical content for subcontracts
  • Manage the Company’s compliance with prime contract requirements – notice, design reviews, performance of subcontractors post award, compliance with prime contract, as well as company and business policies and procedures, and employ sound business practice as well as assesses supplier performance as part of subcontract management
  • Interface with various levels of management and functional departments including Program Management, Legal, Quality, Finance, Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Develop terms and conditions for the procurement of diverse high value items including but not limited to EPC subcontractor, systems and equipment, services and support and specialized materials
  • Review Statements of Work (SOWs) for adequacy and compliance with project requirements prior to sending to suppliers for quotations/proposals





Specific Skills/Abilities

  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in the negotiation and management of key subcontractors on energy infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated ability to act independently as may be required and demonstrated success in influencing or achieving critical requirements including those related to cost and schedule performance
  • Experience with various subcontract types including but not limited to EPC, O&M, T&M`
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • 20% travel including international travel may be required
  • Practical business acumen
  • Ability to thrive within a matrix organization


  • Degree in Business Administration, engineering or law or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10 years of applicable experience and required degree or additional required applicable experience
