    Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities

    The primary duty of the Senior EPC Program Manager is to define, develop, implement and lead NEC Energy Solutions EPC business strategy. This is a hands-on, cross functional position coordinating both internal stake holders (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Grid Integration) and new EPC partners globally. The Senior EPC Program Manager will establish business relationships in key regions with qualified EPC Partners for the purpose of partnering on multiple Energy Storage projects resulting in sustainable year over year profitable growth.

    Specific duties include:

    • Define NEC ES EPC Partnering strategy leveraging existing EPC Partners, products and services.
    • Performed extensive diligence on various EPC companies for possible partnerships.
    • Develop senior level relationships with the targeted EPC firms for their work and leveraging of their local suppliers, and subcontractors.
    • Develop mutually beneficially EPC partnerships that build both short-and-long-term value with technical & functional wins during the sales cycle.
    • Interface and make technical presentations / demonstrations to potential EPC Partners
    • Manage new EPC contractor selection, EPC contract negotiation and first customer pre-construction process.
    • Develop EPC framework agreement outlining business terms and conditions and implementation planning.
    • Evaluate and select subcontracted engineering design, construction, equipment & technology vendors.
    • Responsible for internal communications with NEC ES stake holders to implement program (training, documentation, program orientation, coordination, etc..).
    • Promote EPC programs at industry events and seminars.
    • Train EPC and NEC ES employee’s on best practices.

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
    • Ability to execute a disciplined partner program in a matrix organization.
    • Excellent partner program management skills (marketing, business development, program management & implementation).
    • Track record of working cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, technical managers and project staff.
    • Minimum of 8+ years in the Construction industry with significant experience in Solar, Wind, Substation, transmission / distribution and / or power generation projects.
    • Prior work experience in EPC, Electrical or Civil Engineering contractor or Construction firm is required.
    • Must be able and willing to travel 30%, domestic and international.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required
    • Prior Project Management experience working for an EPC is preferred.
