    Position Overview

    The quality inspector and warehouse support associate is a critical member of the Quality Assurance team, a department of the Operations division at NEC Energy Solutions. The quality inspector focuses on executing and documenting incoming, in-process, and final inspection requirements across all product lines. The Inspector is also responsible for conducting First Article Inspection as part of the material and vendor qualification process.


    • The job is split between inspection and warehouse support.
    • Inspection tasks will include having responsibility for inspecting Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), sheet-metal parts, injection molded plastics, various mechanical and electrical parts, cables, as well as finished products and systems.
    • Warehouse support tasks will include both electronic and physical inventory transfers, cycle counts, material kitting and other related tasks.
    • A qualified candidate will be detail oriented, bring a hardworking and positive attitude to the workplace, and promote high standards of quality throughout the organization.


    Primary Responsibilities

      • Perform First Article Inspection and Incoming Inspection on parts in accordance with inspection requirements, procedures and IPC standards
      • Perform in-process and end of line and final inspection (visual & dimensional) on production material and assemblies
      • Own handling, documenting and transacting of material
      • Initiate non-conforming material reports
      • Maintain conformance to preventative maintenance and calibration schedules including ESD equipment inspections and calibrations
      • Maintain required trainings and certifications required to perform inspection (e.g. IPC 610, 620)
      • Perform product rework as required, including printed circuit boards
      • Capture inspection data
      • Organize and stock material
      • Kit parts from stock
      • Inventory trandactions
      • Warehouse Consolidation
      • Other Duties as assignmed and required





    Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attitudes

    • Knowledge of PCBAs required. Valid IPC-610 certification strongly preferred.
    • Ability to use gauges and measurement machines to conduct inspections per industry standard practices
    • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
    • Knowledge of Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) and preventive measures
    • Excellent organization skills and ability to work independently required
    • Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP, Oracle, Access)
    • Strong work ethic
    • Detail driven
    • Ability and willingness to help out where and when needed
    • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, urgency, in a dynamic environment.
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs



    • 3 years of Inspection or Quality experience.
    • General warehouse experience preferred
    • Clear communication (oral and written) skills required
    • Fork truck certification a plus and preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records and notes
    • Prior experience with batteries, energy storage systems, or inspection of electromechanical systems is a plus
