GSS® systems are serving applications globally that include peak shaving, renewable integration (ramp management), frequency response, frequency regulation and voltage regulation.


    About NEC HR organization

    The new HR set-up, built in August 2018, aims to supports the strong growth ambition of the company, not only in the US but in Asia, Pacific and Europe.


    The key priorities of this team are the following:

    • Support the development of the leadership team (individual development plans, 9 Boxes…)
    • Build a strong Talent Management policy (Annual assessment, competency review, develop a culture of feedback)
    • Prepare the competencies to build the NEC of tomorrow (strategic workforce planning)
    • Engage our workforce (people engagement)
    • Create and lead a HR dashboard
    • Foster well-being
    • Boost diversity
    • Systematically looking for the good practices in NEC and on the market

    Position Overview

    The HR business partner (HRBP) will have a double role:

    • HR BP for some dedicated scopes of our organization (around 100 headcounts)
    • A transversal responsibility for all the company in learning, competencies development, strategic workforce planning and people’s engagement.

     He/she will report to the VP HR with a dotted line to the functional managers.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Develop a business partner relationship with executive and leadership teams in support of their business objectives.
      • Ensure employee life cycle programs are implemented and executed timely including, On boarding, Performance Management, Bonus Program, Merit Cycle and Goal Setting
      • Support management by providing sound Human Resources advice, counsel, direction and decisions to mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with Company policies as well as adherence to all applicable Federal and State employment laws
      • Guide management & employee actions by researching, developing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values
      • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
      • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
      • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
      • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
      • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers
      • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
    • Lead transversal HR topics for all the company
      • Learning, competencies development and strategic workforce planning
      • People’s engagement
      • Other topics depending the priorities defined by the management
    • Contribute to the digitization of the HR function
    • Be aware of best practices on the market, propose innovative solutions. Keep current in job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

    • Business partner, interesting by the company’s business and able to bring added-value for employees and customers
    • Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors and exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action, in a dynamic and fast-paced scale-up technical environment
    • Ability to effectively interact with Executive, Middle Management and peer groups. Interaction requires the ability to gain the cooperation of others.
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to resolve conflicts which may arise both internally and externally.
    • Relationship Management and ability to create and foster a workplace culture that is ethical, open and collaborative.
    • Open-minded to best HR practices
    • Easy to work with different cultures 



    • Bachelors Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
    • Collaborative experience working with remote, domestic and international workforce.
    • Track record of influencing management and senior executives on HR principles and programs.
    • SHRM professional certification desired
    • 8+ years Human Resources experience
    • A background with international exposure is a plus
